These lower temperatures here in Central 

Kentucky have really reminded me that Fall is just 

around the corner! I have to say, Fall is probably my 

favorite season of the year. Boots, scarves, and lots of 

layers always make me crazy happy!  So with the beautiful 

Fall weather as my inspiration, I put together this layered 

look that is still appropriate for these late Summer days.  By 

pushing up the sleeves, rolling up the pants, and adding a 

fun sandal, I kept the look from being too Autumnal.  

Try using these ideas in your wardrobe to help 

make the slow transition on to the next

 season a little easier!

Sometimes all you need is that one last accessory

to really pull an outfit together.  I was at work when someone

jokingly grabbed this hat from a display and sat it on my head. 

Although it was not intended to be the final piece to my look

that day, it was just the perfect finishing touch.  I can't even 

imagine how boring these photos would have been without

the hat!  It's definitely such a great reminder to think through 

your accessory choices for your outfits.  One more great

accessory can really make your look!

What do you wear to a baseball game when it finally feels like

Spring and you really don't even like baseball?  Chambray of course!

Our local minor league baseball team, the Lexington Legends, hosted 

their opening game last night and a big group of us from work went! We

dressed a large group of the staff in tuxedos and in turn we were given an

awesome suite to enjoy the game!  It was definitely a great start to my 

week!  I hope all of yours is off to an equally great start!!

Tyler and I were thrilled to have house guests over the weekend!  
Our wonderful friends Jared & Mary were in town from Virginia and we
got to spend some short precious time with them before they had to head back. 
We took them to eat at First Watch, a delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch spot here in 
Lex, on Sunday.  I quickly threw this outfit together for a no hassle look that was 
both fun and classic.  I just picked up these awesome wedges on clearance (only
 $14!!) Saturday and they were such a no brainer to add a pop of color to my outfit.
  I'll be getting lots of use out of them as they will go with everything! You should 
look for them soon because there weren't many left!!  Besides, JCP is having 
an extra 20% off through Wednesday and their selection is truly on point!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day yesterday!

Since this holiday happened to fall on a weekday this year, I trust that

many of you will be choosing to celebrate with dinners and dates this weekend. If so, there is no need to get in a tizzy about what to wear because this week for Friday's Fancies we're putting together fun outfits in the red and pink theme that will be perfect for your day!  I couldn't help but design my post around some fabulous dresses.  I'm a huge fan of dresses but have been in a bit of a rut with them for the last several months.  So in honor of Valentine's Day, dresses and the upcoming Spring season, I've put together my dream dress collection.  Go ahead, be inspired.

I have to start this out by saying I love Valentine's Day. 
I completely understand that it's not for everyone but I think it's so sweet
to have a day to celebrate love.  I'm sure there were years in my singleness 
that I felt differently, but as I've gotten older I've decided that there are so many
people in our lives that deserve to have their love celebrated than just those that 
we might be in a relationship with.  So yes, I love love. And with that being said, I 
think it's a great idea to show a little token of our love through gifts. Here are a 
few of my picks for the ladies!  While my hubs and I have taken a different route
 for our gifts this year (we bought ourselves tickets to 2 summer concerts: She 
& Him and Fall Out Boy) these are the items that I would have loved to have

All I would need to add is a big messy topknot and a swipe
of red lipstick and I would be the happiest girl in the world.  As if layering
isn't already my favorite thing ever - adding red, denim, leopard, a cardi, Ray-Bans,
and gold accessories really just push this outfit over the edge for me.  Thank you

I threw this outfit together yesterday to run out and 
pick up a tri-pod!  My poor husband isn't always in the mood to 
play photographer and while I often get great help from friends (thank 
you Ricky, Hunter, & Carrie!!), I need to be able to fend for myself.  So 
if all goes as planned, tomorrow will have an outfit post with myself
as the photographer!  I'm basically going to need all of you to be 
crossing your fingers on this one! ;)

Sometimes I forget what color my hair is until I put an outfit like this 

together and it completely blends in with what I'm wearing.  Oh well! 

At least my hair is that perfect shade of auburn and it blends perfectly with

that generic bobby pin shade!  That's one way to look at it, right?! ;) I just

 couldn't wait any longer to break out a few of those great Target finds I was 

telling you about in this post.  The shoes were only $15 and the hat was

only $6!  I sure do love an end-of-season sale!  Also, I'm finally showing off

my gorgeous clutch from K.slademade!  You may remember when I featured

them as part of my Christmas gift guide in this post.  Well, my mom was 

so kind as to order me one of my own for Christmas!  Thanks Mom!!

I'm so sorry for the lack of outfit posts lately.  My life has been a little 

crazy with the busy season at work beginning (PROM!) and losing daylight 

at such an early hour.  Hopefully I'll get in the swing of things soon because

 I have so many outfits that I'm eager to share!  I promise to do better! :)

I was so excited to finally pick up this Tracy Reese 

top at Target on Wednesday!  There weren't tons of pieces of the Neiman Marcus collaboration that I really loved, but this was definitely one.  Call me cheap, but I knew it wouldn't take long for Target to mark the collection down so I just practiced my patience skills and popped in the day it went 70% off!  I mean, $23.99 for a $79 top?!  You just can't beat that!  And I couldn't believe how perfect my Forever 21 blazer went with it!  I'm 

sure you all aren't too surprised though; we Kentucky girls always have some 

great royal blue pieces in our wardrobe!  Go Cats! ;)

but I honestly can't help it!  I am so drawn to it! And if I'm ever going to rest it, well,
it's not going to be on New Year's Eve!!  I'll admit, my NYE plans are currently not in
existence, however, I'm definitely dreaming of wearing a fun and sparkly outfit like this
 one.  Seriously, did you see that it's a black & white striped dress with sequins?!  Does is
even get any better than that?!  Yeah, I didn't think so! ;)  So this what I'm fancying this
