My sweet best friend Lauren hosted a

going away dinner for Tyler, Ricky, and I at her

house over the weekend.  I'm still a few weeks away

from moving but I'm already getting pretty emotional 

at the thought of moving so far away from friends that

and family that are so dear to my heart.  I'm just

trying to make the best of the rest of my 

time with them.

remember this dress from a little shopping trip 

I took to TJ Maxx a few weeks back.  I fell in love

with the bold black stripes instantly but fell for it even

harder when I realized that it reverses into a fun floral

 print.  What makes it even better?  It was only $15! 

Yes really!  It was an easy choice for a great

 dinner with great friends!

You all know my love of black and white stripes. 

 I just can't get enough!  I'm sure you can imagine my excitement 

when I came across this Loft skirt last week!  At 40% off, it was a 

no brainer decision to add this much needed piece to my wardrobe.  

I have to say though, if I don't start buying some nonstripe items soon, 

I'm going to start running out of outfit options!  You can only mix

black and white stripes so much! ;)

I've been a little extra obsessed with Target recently.  

To be exact, I've visited our local stores 3 times in the last 2 days. 

What's my problem?!  And what's worse (if you can say that any of 

it is a bad thing!) is that I search the entire store over every single 

time as if I've never stepped inside a Target, ever.  I do always seem

to find something new and awesome though!  Today's outfit is nearly

head to toe Target with my top, skirt, and sandals all being recent

finds!  I loved mixing the texture of the lace with the bold pattern of 

the polka dots.  And those glitter sandals, well, how did I not 

already have those?!  Thanks to Whitley from Simply Whit

 in a Sequined Life for the tip that they were available!

The amount of rain we've been getting here in Central Kentucky has 

been serious business.  Coincidently, all of my days off have happened 

to fall on these crazy rainy days.  Thankfully the gloomy weather has inspired

 me to get some serious Spring cleaning/organizing done.  My 'to-do' list feels 

like it's seriously a mile long!  So while trying to cross as many things off the 

list as I possibly can before another round of proms begin at work, I have been 

going for a much more casual attire.  This short sleeve hooded sweatshirt is

the epitome of comfort and what better way to dress up your sweats [and

ponytails of course!] than with your favorite pair of pearl earrings?! 

I'm definitely hoping for more high fashion looks 

[and sunshine!] in next week's forecast!

Like I mentioned on Monday's post, my life has been so hectic!

Shopping has been completely on the back burner for the last little bit

as I've barely had time to think about what I'm wearing. Sad, I know!

So instead of looking at all the new Spring trends, I've been working 

on remixing the pieces I already have in my wardrobe.  From today's

I love how they allcame together now to give an entirely new look!

So I'll just state the obvious: How incredibly gorgeous is this Michael Kors

 handbag?!  My sweet friend Hailey just got it recently and she was kind enough to let 

me borrow it for this shoot!  A bowler bag is my all-time favorite and in this perfect royal

 blue hue, well, it's perfection!  It's a piece like this that I really need to add to my little

collection.  Expect to see a handbag roundup here very soon: I'm feeling inspired!

Sometimes you just need to pile a few pieces of the same color on.  

The effect is just good for the soul - especially when it makes you think of 

Spring!  This mint scarf and cardi, anchored by the navy pants and my new 

tan shoes (hauled in this post), make me lust for the warm weather and

sunshine ahead!   Come on Spring, I know you're close!!
