Just because I live in NYC now doesn't mean that I won't still be cheering on my CATS!  Now I'm not going to pretend that we are a huge football school, because if you know anything at all about Kentucky sports it's that men's basketball is our passion.  Like, all of us.  But when it comes to football, it's all about the tailgating. Commonwealth Stadium is full of well dressed girls on game days accessorizing their pretty blue & white dresses with pretty blue & white scarves, jewelry, and shoes. Today I've put together some of my top accessory picks to get all of my Kentucky girls game day ready for this weekend's game against UofL!

Friday's Fancies: Short + Sweet

First things first: I could cry because I lost 
my mind last week and didn't get my Friday's Fancies
 post up.  There was SO MUCH hustle and bustle with 
traveling and move planning and everything else that I 
totally just failed.  I am, however, totally back on my game 
and excited about this week's theme: Shorts!  I'm sure 
you're wondering why I'm excited because, as you all know, 
I never wear shorts.  Well, that's what I love about Friday's 
Fancies. It's a place for me to dream about outfits I can't 
afford and that I sometimes have no where in the world to 
ever wear them.  If I had great legs, this would be the perfect 
shorts outfit for me. It has my favorite elements: black and 
white, pop of color, and comfort.  Yes, this is the exact 
outfit I'll be dreaming of wearing this weekend!

sweet summertime!  While we all know I'm a fan of a funky statement

 Tank tops are a favorite of mine as they're just one of the easiest 

and most comfortable items for warm summer days.  I love the playfulness 

of this pineapple tank paired with a touch of metallic in the wedges

 and a little sophistication in the handbag.  It's the perfect look

What do you wear to a baseball game when it finally feels like

Spring and you really don't even like baseball?  Chambray of course!

Our local minor league baseball team, the Lexington Legends, hosted 

their opening game last night and a big group of us from work went! We

dressed a large group of the staff in tuxedos and in turn we were given an

awesome suite to enjoy the game!  It was definitely a great start to my 

week!  I hope all of yours is off to an equally great start!!

I picked up these loafers and this bag at Target on clearance a 

few weeks ago (which I mentioned in this post) and I am so surprised to see 

they are still available online and on major discount!  You definitely need to check 

out the links and score these great gold pieces for yourself before they are gone!  I'd

 initially thought that these two would be too loud of pieces individually and that they 

couldn't be worn together but I ditched my own doubts and just went for it in this look.  I'm 

pretty pleased with the results!  Of course, I couldn't help but pair it with a cheerful bold

 lip.  I picked this color up at MAC last Fall after seeing it on Pinterest (you can follow me here) and have been loving it ever since.  I promise, from here on out, all products will

 be saved for haul videos!  Speaking of, did you catch my very first video yesterday?

I wanted to make an effort to include some Valentine hues

 into each of my looks this week.  Yesterday I went for a subtle approach by adding 

just a couple pops of fuchsia on my nails and lips - two of my favorite places to add color!  Adding green gave the look a slightly preppy vibe and then I added in my favorite color combo - black & white -  to keep the whole look balanced.  I know it's a little early, but 

this outfit is essentially an outfit meant for transitioning into Spring.  I'm so ready

for the warmer weather!  Is anyone else with me?

I'm basically unbearable to go shopping with these days.
Why?  Because I loudly squeal every.single.time I see anything mint.
It's so bad that I'm even annoyed at myself. Is that even possible?  I can't
help but think all that squealing is totally justified, however, when I've put
together a collection of gorgeous items in that beautiful color.  I didn't plan 
on having so many Kate Spade pieces in this collection but I couldn't
 deny all of their incredibly gorgeous mint pieces.

It's almost Valentine's Day (crazy right?!) so this seems like

What style is your shop?

I have 2 parts to my shop, one part with all hand made bow ties, and the other part with 

vintage treasures. I'm not sure what what the 'style' of my shop is, other than I just love bows

 and I love vintage items so I combined them on one shop!

 What's your favorite item in your shop?
That is a hard one! I just love all the bow ties I make, but the vintage pieces always take the 

win for me. I've had 2 coats up on my shop with fur collars and both of them are just fabulous.

 I love classy pieces that are timeless and elegant. It's fun for me to imagine the previous 

owners and what adventures they had in such fun coats!

 What inspired you to start making bow ties?

My own wedding! I couldn't find bow ties in my wedding colors ANYWHERE so,

the crafter in me decided to tackle the feat myself! I ended up loving the product and 

wondered if other brides have the same problem. So, I opened up my etsy shop and have 

had the chance to make bow ties for weddings all across the world! It's fun to know I am 

a small part of someone's big day!

 Are there any other places we can find you? 

Yes! I have a fashion blog, Beauty & Bows, where I post my outfits and ideas on 

how to style primarily thrifted clothing. I also feature my bows and vintage items

Shoes are ALWAYS a great gift!  

Yes, always!  I can't think of a moment in my life when I

haven't wanted a new pair of shoes.  I want wedges, pumps, flats, and boots. 

I want black ones, blue ones, sparkly ones, studded ones, ones with bows.. well,

you get the idea.  So when in doubt this holiday season, all you need a shoe size

to get the perfect gift for that person who is still hanging out on your shopping

list.  I hope these picks give you some great inspiration.  Oh, and

just in case you needed to know: I wear a size 8.5! ;)
