Fall Florals & [Faux] Fur

Anthropologie fur collar (from this vest // similar // similar)
Versona Accessories earrings (similar)
Vintage belt

Photographed by: Tyler Skiles

The rain sure got the best of me last week. Well, maybe not me per se, but it sure did not allow for any outfit photo sessions with Tyler.  We already have such slim windows to get them in and when the weather doesn't cooperate we're just completely out of luck.  I'm hoping to get some more shots in today so we can keep these outfit posts going as a regular thing!

I could go on for days about the fur collar I'm wearing.  It's actually from this Anthropologie vest - it just buttons on-and-off to give you 3 amazing options for your wardrobe. I've worn it all 3 ways (as just the collar, with it buttoned onto the vest, and the vest without the fur) and am truly obsessed with it each and every way.  Unfortunately it is out of stock right now, but keep an eye out on my Facebook & Twitter pages because I'll let you know if they get more in stock!

Oh and this dress. Ah, isn't it gorgeous?!  It was another love-at-first-sight moment for the two of us. I mean with that open back and rich Fall colors.. how could it be anything less than love?!  Do yourself a favor and check out this post from my Lexington friend Beth who blogs over at Seersucker & Saddles.  She's a hard act to follow but she wore this same dress recently and looked absolutely stunning!

Are you guys freaking out as much as I am that this is an OUTFIT post?!  For a second there I thought it was never going to happen again!  I literally didn't get a single outfit photographed during the winter, but let's be honest, there really wasn't much to photograph.  The winter was long and it felt like it was never going to end, however, it is finally over! So you'd better believe that I busted out this fantastic floral dress to celebrate mine and Tyler's anniversary last week.  4 years!  Holy crap!  How did 4 years go by so unbelievably fast?!  Can someone let me know how to slow things down a bit?  K, thanks!

So yes, this dress!  This is one of the new dresses from Rent the Runway.  As you guys know, that's where I've been hiding the last few months when I've been too busy to update you here.  And I suppose I'm long overdue to show off some of the amazing pieces we have!  I literally squealed when this Alberta Ferretti dress hit our website and then literally squealed again when we first received it in the showroom.  It's perfect and it completely embodies my current style.  So obviously I had to wear it out for a day long anniversary date with the hubs.  During the afternoon we strolled through Chelsea Market & The High Line and then we ended the night by watching The Realistic Joneses on Broadway.  Aside from countless Marilyn moments created by the ruthless NYC wind, I had a fantastic day in a fantastic dress!

Friday's Fancies: Sandal Savvy

Friday's Fancies: Sandal Savvy

Top // Skirt (similar) // Belt // Sandals // Bag // Earrings // Polish // Perfume

There's nothing like a great pair of sandals, especially in this
sweet summertime!  While we all know I'm a fan of a funky statement
shoe, I really wanted to focus this week's look on a classic sandal that
would be a staple in any girl's wardrobe.  Hope you enjoy!

First of all - please excuse the scowl on my face! The sun was super cray
and it didn't leave me much choice since I left my trusty Ray-Bans at home!
I know you've been hearing it a lot from me recently, but I'm super obsessed
with skirts right now.  I mean, I just can't get enough!  If I'm not searching online
for my next perfect one then I'm totally drooling on ones seen on other bloggers
(you should check out my friend Chioma's skirts - they're seriously amazing and
lots of them are gorgeous thrifted pieces!).  This pleated floral number (that I
showed a little teaser of on my Instagram earlier this week) is another recent
purchase from Loft and was on super sale.  I loved pairing it with this neon
striped tee (yes, I bought the same tee in like 5 colors!) for some subtle
pattern mixing.  Overall this summery outfit was such an easy look and
crazy comfortable!

Friday's Fancies: May Flowers

Friday's Fancies: May Flowers on Opal & Violet

Top // Skirt // Bracelet // Earrings // Polish // Bag // Shoes

I know you've done your Spring floral shopping after
checking out this post from last week (I picked up the Toms!), so
today I'm giving you some styling inspiration for your floral duds!  I
very quickly fell in love with this amazing pencil skirt and chose one
of the understated colors to accent in the top.  A little contrast in the
prints adds excitement to the look and the neutral accessories
keep it appropriate for many different social occasions.

Head over to Long Distance Loving to see lots more floral inspiration!

Have an amazing weekend!!

The Finest Florals

Spring is finally here I just can't get my newfound love of florals
out of my head!  So I did a little shopping for the both of us today and
picked out several great pieces to help us incorporate the print's cheerfulness
into our current wardrobes.  Not so sure about florals?  Then start small with
an adorable phone case.  Ready to dive in?  I've picked a fabulous maxi
that even Rachel Zoe would be oh so proud of!  Enjoy!

Friday's Fancies: Spring Has Sprung

Spring Has Sprung on Opal & Violet

Dress // Bag // Sunnies // Shoes // Palette // Necklace

Although it is insanely cold and has been snowing here in Central Kentucky,
I am still preparing for Spring!  Today's Friday's Fancies look is all about the themes
you'll be seeing in my wardrobe in the upcoming months.  I'm searching for the perfect
floral prints, tops & dresses in gorgeous corals & peaches, and girly touches from glitzy
bows to perfectly flushed cheeks.  I'm still holding strong on my No-Buy March (except
for the shoes purchase that I owned up to in this post) so these pieces are still
just hanging out on my wish list.  What items are on your Spring wish list?!
