I love this t-shirt so stinking much.
I bought it for Tyler a while back but, honestly, I think I get
much more wear out of it than he does.  It just goes with everything.
I loved pairing it with my new comfy skirt that I picked up at Target
recently.  It's such a great, versatile print that I know I'll be remixing
all Spring and Summer long.  I'm definitely on the hunt for more
skirts this season.  If you have any recommendations be
sure to leave them in the comments below!!

Have a wonderful week guys!!

Today I'm so thankful to be celebrating my 100th blog post!!
Thank you all so much for all the fabulous encouragement you've sent
my way over the last 6 months!  This journey has been challenging at
times and the easiest/most natural thing I've ever done at others.  It would
have been a wasted endeavor, however, had I not have had you as
my reader.  So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

  Here's to the next 100!

While putting together this blog post, I made a very exciting discovery!
My favorite watch - the Michael Kors Parker - now comes with a gold face &
navy leather band combo!! Seriously, it's gorgeous!! See for yourself here!
Prepare to fall in love!  I'm adding it to my current wish list immediately!!

So back to today's outfit! ;)
I've been waiting for the perfect time to break out my new Merona
pencil skirt that I picked up at Target just before Christmas.  It features
what is clearly a favorite color combo of mine at the moment - navy & gold.
With the gold flecks in that skirt, there was no stopping me from adding
it to my skirt collection.  Actually, I've been rebuilding my skirt collection
lately.  I love skirts but had a lot of outdated styles/fits so I donated most
of them to Goodwill last year.  I went a while before I even started buying
them again but now I'm trying to make up for lost time!
 The more skirts the better!

It's been unseasonably warm here in Central Kentucky the last few days.
Of course, just as I'm beginning to get acclimated, the chill comes right back into
the air.  Thankfully, I had my new Merona cape to keep me warm!  This is the first
cape to make it's way into my wardrobe and I assure you that it won't be the last!  This thing
is insanely cozy and I'm a little crazy over the pretty cable knit down the front! And doesn't it
look great with my [also new!] Merona handbag?!  It was love at first sight with this faux
suede beauty! What's even better? I scored the cape at 50% off and the bag at 25% off!!
I'm looking forward to getting lots of use out of them both this winter!

This shirt has really just been a staple in my wardrobe.
You probably remember seeing it here and here - and don't expect this to be the last!
A great quality button up, especially in a classic print like a gingham or plaid, is such
a versatile piece that everyone should own.  And probably in multiple colors! And patterns!
I am so picky about the fabric of my button up shirts which is why you'll notice that I don't have tons of them.  That is, however, totally a personal taste thing.  Find ones that speak to you and have fun pairing them with sweaters, vests, jackets.. well, just about everything!

I hope you've all been having an amazing week!
Is it seriously already Thursday? Wow! Check back tomorrow
for a very sparkly Friday's Fancies!

I went to dinner with my hubby and my father-in-law last night
and pulled some of the key pieces from my closet to wear.  This time of the
year, there isn't much I love more than a great pair of cords.  These navy ones are
perfect because the color is so rich and they give a little texture to the outfit.  The Tippi sweater from J.Crew is always my go-to sweater.  It's soft, lightweight, and can be worn
all year round.  They are also produced all year in an assortment of colors so it can be
easy for your collection of them to grow!  My leopard loafers are my favorite!  It's hard for
me to find an outfit that they don't go with.  I mean, a pop of leopard is always appropriate, right?!  The final piece of the look (aside from the accessories of course!) is the blazer.  Blazers are such a great element to have in your closet! I have them in several colors
(and want several more!) because they are an easy way to add polish to a normal outfit.
Do you keep any of my key pieces in your closet?

I promise I did not intentionally dress to be the spokesperson for Old Navy.
It just so happened that nearly every item I put on my body came from there.  I love to mix high and low end pieces.  I don't really see the point in buying expensive, trendy items that really won't be wearable for more than a couple seasons (if that). Mostly, the expensive items I buy are buy are timeless pieces that I will get TONS of wear from.  When I'm shopping, the biggest selling feature an item can have is if it looks like something I could find at J.Crew (I'm a little obsessed!).  If it does, then it's clearly going in my closet.

Even though many of us don't want to think it, Old Navy has lots of great, classic staples for your wardrobe.  Yes, I know there are some 'out there' things.  I know that they have made that same rugby polo in both short and long sleeve since 1994.  But for $35 colored denim and cords in a perfectly skinny fit?! Come on!  How fabulous is that price?!  I also love their laying tanks, cardigans, and their new jewelry line.   I was so surprised to pop in their store last week and find this mini jewelry boutique color coordinated to perfection!  I always go straight for the gold (I purchased the circle bracelet pictured plus 2 necklaces and a pair of earrings) but the other sections have some really cute pieces too!  Notable items include dangly, gold earrings of horse figurines and a gold rhinestone horseshoe necklace - both are perfect for our equestrian obsessed area.  The prices are also very reasonable.  Most of the items I checked out were $6-$10. Have you seen the Old Navy jewelry collection yet?  Let me know your thoughts!
