I just can't stop wearing my horseshoe necklace.
It might be because I'm getting so excited about Keeneland's Fall Meet beginning this weekend!  We clearly love our horse racing here in the Bluegrass, and for those of you who don't know, Keeneland is the most spectacular event of horse racing and fashion around (okay, okay - aside from the Kentucky Derby!).  Each weekend for a month, ladies and gents alike come dressed to perfection to tailgate and place their bets on the most amazing horses.  It's definitely something everyone should experience.  My month is pretty booked already but I'm hoping to squeeze in an afternoon there with the hubs.  I'd better start planning my outfit now.. just in case! ;)  Look for a "Keeneland wear" post to come soon!

I promise I did not intentionally dress to be the spokesperson for Old Navy.
It just so happened that nearly every item I put on my body came from there.  I love to mix high and low end pieces.  I don't really see the point in buying expensive, trendy items that really won't be wearable for more than a couple seasons (if that). Mostly, the expensive items I buy are buy are timeless pieces that I will get TONS of wear from.  When I'm shopping, the biggest selling feature an item can have is if it looks like something I could find at J.Crew (I'm a little obsessed!).  If it does, then it's clearly going in my closet.

Even though many of us don't want to think it, Old Navy has lots of great, classic staples for your wardrobe.  Yes, I know there are some 'out there' things.  I know that they have made that same rugby polo in both short and long sleeve since 1994.  But for $35 colored denim and cords in a perfectly skinny fit?! Come on!  How fabulous is that price?!  I also love their laying tanks, cardigans, and their new jewelry line.   I was so surprised to pop in their store last week and find this mini jewelry boutique color coordinated to perfection!  I always go straight for the gold (I purchased the circle bracelet pictured plus 2 necklaces and a pair of earrings) but the other sections have some really cute pieces too!  Notable items include dangly, gold earrings of horse figurines and a gold rhinestone horseshoe necklace - both are perfect for our equestrian obsessed area.  The prices are also very reasonable.  Most of the items I checked out were $6-$10. Have you seen the Old Navy jewelry collection yet?  Let me know your thoughts!

This was my "1st day of Fall" outfit.
I was so excited to have enough chill in the air to
add a blazer to my usual sweater and tank layering.
What did you wear to usher in this fabulous season?
Tell me all about it or link me to your fall outfit post

I'm so happy to finally share my fashion obsession with, well, everyone!
Over the last couple of years I've received more and more comments on what I'm wearing and questions about what to wear.  Here, I'll be journaling my own
personal fashion escapades, sharing tips/tricks & fashion/beauty finds,
and much more.  I'm incredibly excited!!

Yesterday, the formal wear store I work for sponsored a local bridal show.
I normally don't wear a pencil skirt to work because of how constricting they are
(I literally split my skirt while bending over to measure the length of a customer's pants a few months ago!) so I took this as the perfect opportunity to wear my favorite one.
Although we had been talking weddings for hours on end, my fabulous friend, Hunter
took the time to snap these pics for me at the end of the day.
