I'm always into mixing some feminine pieces with a few casual/comfortable ones (that means I steal my hubby's t-shirts way more than he'd like). It not only makes your vibe playful, but the contradiction of the styles adds an element of interest and excitement. This look is one I would gladly wear any day of the week!

The weather in New York was not playing around yesterday.  The temps just decided to drop overnight and BAM it was Fall!  Too bad I didn't check the weather [that's nothing new though]; my bare legs were freezing during my commute both to and from work.  While walking in a cold, cold misery, I just couldn't help but dream of being bundled up in a cozy Fall look. So, today for your viewing pleasure, I bring you my perfect cozy casual outfit that will be perfect for you to snuggle in next weekend!

Friday's Fancies: Dress Yourself

This week's theme for Friday's Fancies is to 
dress yourself!  I easily picked pieces that screamed "Jordan!!" 
as soon as I saw them!  How perfect is this floral dress?!  The cut 
and colors are just everything I love!  I don't often see a great floral
print used in fall but the color palette of blues and tans are really
great to transition through multiple seasons.  Just make sure
you have some great layering pieces like this jacket or 
pop on a pair of tights for extra leg warmth!

Friday's Fancies: Black Friday

Isn't it hard to believe that Black Friday is already here?! 
 For Friday's Fancies this week we're commemorating the kick-off of the 
holiday shopping season with some of our favorite looks based around the color black!  Instead of creating an outfit for you today, I opted to find some fabulous black items that are just dying to be in my closet!  I really can't say enough about each of these pieces; I am literally obsessed with each one!!  My husband and I are both working today, so
neither of us will be partaking in any Black Friday shopping.  If, however,
I find that any of these pieces are greatly discounted, I might have
to consider shopping online! ;)

Friday's Fancies: Sweater Season

It's hard to believe that it's already November! 
 There's no denying the chill in the air here in Central Kentucky; it's definitely
sweater season!  Today I've put together 3 easy Fall looks for you based around 
some pretty amazing sweaters.  Each look mixes a fabulous print with a great 
pop of color to give the outfit that interest it needs to be successful.  Do you 
own any great printed sweaters?  I'm in major need of adding some new 
ones to my wardrobe this season!

Friday's Fancies: 100!

                          

Happy 100th week of Friday's Fancies!!  

That's right, while this is only my 2nd week to participate in FF, {AV} 
is celebrating her 100th over at Long Distance Loving!!  What better way to celebrate than with a PARTY?!  So as you can see, I've put together my party best for you all today!!  This is truly an outfit I would love to wear!  I tend to favor the rule of keeping one half covered - either show your arms and cover your legs or show your legs and cover your arms.  This dress does the latter with precision.  I'm crazy over the jeweled collar so I opted to go for simple studs to balance the look.  WIth these simple accessories, a top knot hairdo, and a sweep of wine colored lipstick you'll 
be all set to party the night away!

October Opals

                     

There is no way I could make it through the month of October without a little homage to this month's birthstone: the Opal!  I am completely fascinated with the unique beauty of this gorgeous gem and was thrilled to find this truly incredible bracelet (that is unfortunately ridiculously out of my budget - I mean, wow!!) to inspire a dream outfit.  All of these pieces are extremely versatile and the color combination is one of my favorites.  Where would you wear this outfit?

Ready for the Races

  

Keeneland's Fall Meet kicked off this past weekend and Lexington hasn't seen this much amazing fashion in months!  Although I wasn't able to attend opening weekend, I was more than happy to create a dream look of what I would have worn!!  I'm madly in love with all of these pieces - I need them in my wardrobe immediately! ;)  Oh, and the key for your Keeneland attire being successful is comfortable shoes!  There are long walks to and from the parking areas and if you don't reserve a seat you'll be standing for hours!  Leave the stilettos at home and instead opt for more comfortable wedges or even flats.
