Rachel Zoe: Pre-Fall 2014

A HUGE congrats goes out to Rachel & Rodger as they welcomed baby boy #2 into the world yesterday!  I was seriously starting to feel like she had been pregnant forever so needless to say I was thrilled to read her tweet announcing the new babe's birth!  Now I'm getting anxious to find out the name.. and to see if he is as cute as Skyler! Seriously, I feel very strongly that he is the most beautiful kid I've ever seen!!

So with RZ in mind, I felt like today was a great day to show you all my fave images from her Pre-Fall 2014 collection!  I'm sure you can guess that the black & white striped jumpsuit is a clear favorite of mine.  It's just SO good!  And I don't have to say how great the styling is, right?!  Everything looks so effortless yet so chic - definitely amazing inspiration for the months ahead!

Friday's Fancies: Emerald City

This is the time of year where I have formal wear on the brain!  
I work in a fabulous formal wear store so we're helping out customers with prom 
gowns and picking out tuxes for wedding parties daily.  It's also award season and I'm always glued to the tv to watch what everyone is wearing on the red carpet.  And lastly, it's pageant weekend for my girls Hailey & Chelsea!  They're competing in the Miss Kentucky County Fair State Pageant today and tomorrow.  [Good luck girls!!]  So with all of this going on in my life, I had to incorporate a formal look for this week's Friday's Fancies look!  This emerald green Gucci gown is velvet and leopard print perfection!  And when a gown looks this amazingly vintage, jewelry from Rachel Zoe's collection is a must. Add some strappy Loub's and you're ready to walk the red carpet!  And in the Pantone Color of the Year!  So fabulous!

My friends and I celebrated Halloween this past Saturday night
 by having a little costume party.  We're pretty easy going people, so 
some good food, conversation, and games made the evening perfect.  
I hadn't dressed up for Halloween since I was a kid, so I had to do something 
glamorous and fun.  Who better to dress up as than my idol, Rachel Zoe?  
 I've always thought that my husband sometimes resembles Rachel's fab 
husband, Rodger, so our duo was quickly complete.  The best part about 
dressing as RZ?  I can reuse all of the items I purchased in real life!!  
I'm already planning to wear that fur vest asap!  I have to admit, the 
hardest part of getting into the role was not smiling during pics!
Try it! It's so hard!!
